Cooking Class: Indian Basics

Indian Basics

This is an intro to becoming familiar with Indian cooking techniques and flavors! You will learn patterns and techniques that you can apply to many different dishes from South Asia! This class is hands on, so you will be chopping, sauté-ing, simmering, boiling, and of course, EATING!

The class is designed to maximize your understanding of when and how to use the vast array of spices in South Asian cooking. You are encouraged to taste at every stage of cooking, and become familiar with troubleshooting techniques when things don’t quite go the way you want it to as it happens so often in kitchens.

The dishes in this course are ones that you can whip up on a busy weeknight. They can be tuned to your taste, and can be made for a healthy everyday meal, or be jazzed up for a party pleaser!

So come, cook, eat, and most importantly, learn!
